Going South Again by Car: 03.09.2019. Brachemich-Ubstadt Weiher

Après un bon petit-déjeuner, et après avoir bien remercié Ferdi et Gaby de leur hospitalité, nous partons à 9 h 30. Le GPS nous ramène sur l’autoroute et nous suivons le flot, assez chargé. Vers 11 h 30, nous sortons de l’autoroute et allons faire des courses dans un supermarché, puis nous cherchons un endroit un peu calme pour déjeuner … et nous le trouvons : une espèce de piste qui va dans la campagne avec juste une place pour stationner et un petit bois sur la côté, et en plus, une bande de terrain est semée de fleurs sauvages. Nous déjeunons et repartons sur l’autoroute. Nous roulons au pas, il y a des travaux, donc nous faisons un petit arrêt sur un parking. Vers 14 h 30, nous avons déjà fait 300 km (notre ration journalière) et demandons au GPS de trouver un camping. Nous y allons, c’est dans la campagne profonde, et quand nous arrivons, nous sommes surpris de voir des gens en maillot de bain. C’est que ce camping est au bord d’un petit lac (ancienne carrière, je crois). Très bonne surprise. Nous allons tout de suite nous baigner, la plage est agréable et l’eau à 23-24˚. After a good breakfast, and after thanking Ferdi and Gaby for their hospitality, we leave at 9:30 am. The GPS takes us back to the highway and we follow the flow, quite busy. Around 11:30 am, we leave the highway and go shopping in a supermarket, then we look for a quiet place for lunch ... and we find it: a kind of track that goes in the countryside with just a place for parking the car and a small forest on the side, and in addition, a strip of land is sown with wildflowers. We have lunch and leave on the highway. We drive slowly, there is work on the road, so we make a small stop on a parking lot. At around 2:30 pm, we have already done 300 km (our daily ration) and ask the GPS to find a campsite. We go there, it's in the deep countryside, and when we arrive, we're surprised to see people in swimsuits. It is that this campsite is at the edge of a small lake (an old quarry, I think). Very nice surprise. We go for a swim, the beach is nice and the water at 23-24˚. Walk, dinner made by Jens (see photo), blog and in bed.
