six. Baignade et soirée tranquille sous les étoiles.

Agitated night!
First the strong music of the games hallthat prevents us from sleeping, then a
little later, the current that rotates Hera II and even makes her hit the dock
slightly. We both get up in pajamas, Jens tries to pull the anchor in the back,
but can’t. I'm on the dock and pushing back Hera II with all my strength. A guy
on the next yacht who is still awake comes to help me but we can’t stay pushing
the boat all night. Finally, we allow Hera II to pivot completely and come
parallel to the dock, fortunately we have plenty of room on this side. We thank
the helpful neighbor and he tells us it's his birthday today, he is 40 years
old. We go back to bed, it's after one in the morning. When we get up, Jens
continues to work, sawing part of the winch from the rear anchor that was
preventing the chain from rolling out. I go shopping and ride to see if Torill
and Lars Erik's boat is still at the marina, but they've already left to the
yard where they're going to put her on land. On my way home, I chat with a very
nice lady from Switzerland, Corinne. When I get back to the boat, we decide to
leave, slowly, going south. The engine has regained its normal sound and Jens
will monitor it closely. We have lunch underway, under jib, slow speed. We plan
to pass the swing bridge at the entrance of Lefkas Canal at 3:00 pm. But we go so slowly
that at 2:30 pm Jens looks at the distance still to go and we have 2.5 nautical
miles left. We're going with 4 knots and we're not going to get there on time,
so we start the engine. We pass the swing bridge and follow the canal. After
leaving the canal, we stop the engine and sail. We anchor in the Varko bay,
beautiful bay open to the south. Three yachts are already there and at the end
of the evening we are six. Swimming and quiet evening under the stars.
