mendiants …
l’autre bout.

Still gray and rainy, too bad, the city is grayer in
the rain. Jens goes to work, I start the blog, then walk to town. I don’t walk
fast and it takes me half an hour to go to the center, and this time I dn’tt
get lost. When I get to Scanderbeg Square, it starts to rain and I take refuge
at the bookstore. I buy the same newspaper as yesterday, I don’t know if I take
the last one or if there is only one copy, but yesterday and today there was
only one. A special thing here, we don’t see any newsagent. I come out when the
rain stops and buy the same kind of lunch as yesterday, but today it's 200 leke
(2 € or 20 kr.). I eat on a bench in Scanderbeg Square. This Scanderbeg is a
fifteenth-century hero who drove the Ottomans back. I walk a long time in the
city and I'm not bothered once, no people who want to sell me something, no
taxi drivers who offer their service, no beggars ... Then I walk along the big
avenue between the Scanderbeg Square and Mother Theresa Square at the other
end. It's long, maybe 4 km? Mother Theresa was Albanian. I go back to the
hotel, very tired, end of the blog then Jens arrives. We go for a walk
together, savor an orange juice and come back. Jens lunched at noon with
colleagues from the institute at a "pot restaurant", as in Turkey,
where you choose what you want in dishes exposed to customers. I looked for the
name on the internet and it's called "Lokanta". We are looking for
one in the neighborhood, but can’t find one. So we are going to dinner at the
neighbor's house, the next house is a fish restaurant. Very good dinner.
