Nous prenons le petit-déjeuner ensemble, travaillons un peu et partons. Merci à Carsten et Mona pour leur hospitalité, nous espérons les voir bientôt en Norvège. Nous roulons d’abord sur une petite route puis rentrons sur l’autoroute, nous arrêtons manger le lunch sur un parking, dans la voiture. Et ici, les toilettes sont gratuites. Nous croisons le Canal de Kiel sur un grand pont. Nous sommes passés sur ce canal avec notre Maja en rentrant du grand voyage en 2017, en compagnie de Peter et Kirsten. Nous continuons, la circulation n’est pas chargée et nous roulons bien. Nous passons la frontière entre l’Allemagne et le Danemark, et nous nous sentons maintenant bien près de la maison. Nous trouvons bien la maison de Merete à Bjert, un village près de Kolding. Merete était étudiante à Bergen en 2011 et cherchait un endroit où habiter; nous allions partir en voyage et cherchions quelqu’un pour garder la maison. Et voilà. Elle a habité chez nous plusieurs mois et nous sommes restés amis. Jens lui a téléphoné et elle nous attend. Nous arrivons chez elle à 3 h 30, elle est rentrée de son travail et a cherché son fils, Einar, 3 ans et demi au « barnehage » (à l’école maternelle). Nous nous retrouvons avec plaisir et sommes heureux de faire la connaissance de Einar, un petit garçon qui chantonne et est (presque) toujours de bonne humeur. Je fais un effort pour parler une sorte de danois avec lui, et nous nous comprenons très bien. Merete est une très bonne cuisinière et nous mijote un excellent diner. Puis Einar va se coucher et nous finissons la soirée en discutant de beaucoup de choses.

We have breakfast together, work a little and leave. Thanks to Carsten and Mona for their hospitality, we hope to see them soon in Norway. We drive first on a small road then back on the highway, we stop to eat lunch on a parking lot, in the car. And here, the toilets are free. We cross the Kiel Canal on a big bridge. We went on this canal with our Maja, returning from the big trip in 2017, along with Peter and Kirsten. We continue, the traffic is light and we drive well. We cross the border between Germany and Denmark, and we are now feeling very close to home. We find Merete's house in Bjert, a village near Kolding. Merete was a student in Bergen in 2011 and was looking for a place to live; we were going on a trip and were looking for someone to keep the house. Et voilà. She lived at our place for several months and we remained friends. Jens phoned her and she's waiting for us. We arrive at her home at 3:30 pm, she is back from work and had picked up her son, Einar, 3 years and a half, at the "barnehage" (kindergarten). We meet again with pleasure and are happy to meet Einar, a little boy who sings a lot and is (almost) always in a good mood. I make an effort to speak some Danish with him, and we understand each other very well. Merete is a very good cook and cooks an excellent dinner. Then Einar goes to bed and we finish the evening talking about many things.
