26.10.2019 Ile de Thilia/Thilia island
Samedi 26 octobre 2019

Beautiful, warm
and calm. Quiet night, then we go north along the east coast of Cephalonia. We
pass Fiscardho, where we spent one night, last spring, in the rain. We continue
to the northeast, we stop to swim in a small bay north of Ithaca. Lunch en route
and we go to see a bay on the island of Arcoudhi, a beautiful bay where a
motorboat is anchored. We pass by him and Jens tells him that it's nice here He
answers that he has dirty diesel and filters problems. Its engine can run for a
few minutes and stops. We propose to tow him and he accepts. We take a long
rope between the two boats and we go. Hera II pulls it without problem, at 3-3.5
knots. We take him to the nearest port, Sivota, where we have never
been. After an hour and a half we are there. It's easy to let go, we arrive
slowly along a pontoon, and two marineros catch his ropes and moor them. Then
the guy throws us our rope and we leave. He thanks us, I do not know what he
would have done if we had not towed him. We want to anchor for the last night,
we go back to Preveza tomorrow. We find a small deserted bay east of the island of
Thilia, between Lefkas and Meganisi. We see two houses on Meganisi, but the
island itself, where we are, is uninhabited. Last evening very calm.
